UPDATED 3:33 PM PT – Sunday, September 19, 2021

A body was reportedly found in the Wyoming forest where police have been searching for missing 22-year-old Gabby Petito. Fox News reported a Teton County coroner showed up on the scene on Sunday. However, the body has not yet been identified.

This comes as officials said more than 50 law enforcement officers started day two of their search in the Carlton Reserve near Florida’s Gulf Coast for Petito’s fiancé, 23-year-old Brian Laundrie.

Laundrie’s family claim they last saw him leaving with a backpack on Tuesday. They added he said he was going to the reserve. Although, Petito’s family said they believe Laundrie’s not missing, but rather hiding.

In the meantime, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Denver along with other officials stated the remains found do fit Petito’s description. Her family has been notified, however it has not been confirmed that the body found belongs to her. Authorities say an autopsy report will need to be completed in order to determine the cause of death and whom the body belongs to.
